The painting support is a cradled wood panel which has no visible-from-the-front frame. Cradled panels have a one inch strip of wood on the back of the panel that is flush with the edges-visible on the sides, but not on the front. I paint the strips black so the look is clean, simple, modern and the painting is ready to hang on your wall.

I began making these small paintings in 2009 as a way to work out imagery for my gallery work. After realizing what an important inspiration the process was for my larger scaled paintings, I decided to keep making them indefinitely. Each painting is sequentially numbered, have done over 1,300 so far! They portray a variety of subject matter but mostly focus on the landscape, barns, livestock and other rural scenes of the Central New York area. These studies can be purchased here and also at the various events that I participate in throughout the year.

**While I am confident that you will be satisfied with your painting purchase, there can be slight differences between the image on this website and the actual paintings, especially regarding color. Usually though, the paintings look FAR better in person! However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, please send the painting back to me within 2 weeks, in its original condition and I will reimburse you via paypal.
